What is Youth Eco-Teams?
Youth Eco-Teams is a fun way for students of all ages to team up with their peers to find ways to reduce their environmental impact and live a more sustainable life. The program empowers young people in Eau Claire County with the knowledge and experience they need to be more environmentally sustainable at home and in their community. How does Youth Eco-Teams Work? The program is designed to be flexible, and can be run in two general ways:
Elementary School The full six-week after-school program has been run at Flynn and Robbins Elementary Schools. In Spring 2014 the six-week program will be run again at Robbins Elementary. We are in the process of securing additional locations for the 2014 program. Each of the six weeks has a different theme relating to a specific aspect of sustainable living.
